Description
Roper 2AM21 Petroleum Transfer Gear Pump
Roper is well-known for its high-quality, innovative pumping solutions. Its devices are particularly well-suited for demanding use and the Roper 2AM21 Petroleum Transfer Gear Pump doesn't disappoint.
Product Details
The Roper 2AM21 Petroleum Transfer Gear Pump is self-priming and can handle substances with viscosity levels of up to 2,200 cSt. The pump has a cast iron house, ductile iron gears, bronze or carbon bearings, bronze bushings, PTFE or aluminum gaskets, and steel idler shafts. Drive shafts are made from ductile iron or hardened steel. Seals are mechanical and can be made from Viton, EPDM, or Teflon. The pump is foot-mounted with a relief valve configuration, can operate at standard motor speeds, and runs quietly since it only has two moving parts. It does not need lubrication as the bearings are automatically lubricated when fluids move through the pump.
Specifications
The Roper 2AM21 Petroleum Transfer Gear Pump has a maximum flow rate of up to 75.6 gallons per minute; however, the flow rate can vary depending on the size of the pump chosen. It can process fluids with temperatures of up to 212 Fahrenheit. The maximum pressure rate is 300 PSI for the 3/8 inch and 3/4 inch pumps and 150 PSI for pumps ranging from 1 1/4" to 2". Inlet and outlet ports measure 1 1/2 inches. The pump weighs 50 pounds and measures 22x12x12. It's assembled for clockwise rotation but can be reassembled to rotate counterclockwise. It has self-priming capabilities.
Common Applications
Like other pumps in the Roper A Series, the Roper 2AM21 Petroleum Transfer Gear Pump can be used by a variety of industries. It works well for pumping viscous liquids such as liquid fuels, liquid hydrocarbons, and lubrication oil. It can also pump oils, plastics, paint, soaps, and adhesives or even for general liquid transfer.
